San Lorenzo

Last weekend we went to a place called San Lorenzo...it's an interesting place! For cows... and geckos...and crazy birds! We stayed at a hotel that was made of balconies...there was a tree in the middle that had lots of birds that sounded like they were screaming - at all hours of the morning! Luckily, Day, Leslie and Melodee had ear plugs...I just tuned them out and Kyle has never had a hard time sleeping! At the restaurant there was a bunch of geckos on the ceiling - they were very entertaining! Day had some issues with a cockroach in her room. She had a hard time sleeping in her room, staying in the very middle of her bed!

We went to a beach that was down the roughest road we'd been on - the blazer had a workout. We found a few sand dollars and enjoyed the hammocks. The water was just a tad murky - in that it was insanely muddy! So we didn't get in any swimming. On the way back we were stuck behind a lot of traffic - of cows! Seriously we waited five minutes to get a break between cows on the road! They were herded by a boy on a bike! Very modern! We had a lot of interesting memories on this trip - one of which was a busload of men that relieved themselves on the side of the road in front of us...I'm just going to leave it at that!




Though it wasn't the most spectacular trip for beauty, I'd say this trip was a success since it let Leslie and Day see a bit of Honduras and make some lasting memories (and funny stories) of their time here. So here's to you two :)
